RFS 6.8 release notes

We are pleased to introduce the first phase of our bi-directional finance system integration, which will be delivered in phases during 2022.

This first phase introduces the facility to extract project, budget, and internal collaborator data from RFS, supporting projects and project budgets to be set up on your institution’s finance system upon project activation in RFS, improving efficiency by removing delays and the need for re-keying of data.

In this release we've introduced the following:

• a number of new Deliverable types

• all Console users can now access the following from Manage Forms:

  • Eligibility forms

  • Proposal forms

  • Review forms

  • Deliverable forms

• the Console navigation menu has been expanded to support direct linking to Pre-approved and Pre-rejected Proposals from the Pre-award menu

• the Organisation screens in the Console have been updated to rationalise the information displayed and available by default for export

We've also resolved a number of bugs in this release.

Some changes to the API have been included in this release:

• Contacts API endpoint has been updated to disable create, update, and delete functions as Contacts are all sourced from Elements

• Where there is no "Contact Address" set for an organisation, an appropriate response is returned
