Manage Item evaluation form fields
Where you wish to gather structured information from nominators, reviewers, and/or unit managers, you will want to configure relevant forms to capture this information:
The first step in doing this is to configure your desired underlying fields for use within Item evaluation exercise forms. This can be done by System Administrators and Research Information Administrators via Evaluation & review > [ITEM EVALUATION] > Manage item evaluation fields.
Once configured, an Item evaluation underlying field will be available for use across all forms across all Item evaluation exercises within your instance of Elements.
Add new underlying field
Add a new underlying field for every field you would like to include on your Item evaluation forms.
There are no stock underlying fields for Item evaluation forms.
Adding new underlying fields in the Item evaluation module follows the same principles as adding underlying fields for other data categories in Elements. The available data formats in Item evaluation are as follows:

Text | Text input. |

Choice | Drop-down choice field. You can set a numerical value applicable to each choice value, enabling downstream calculations (e.g. GPA, average score). |

Integer | Integer value input (use if you don't want to support decimal or min / max values). |

Boolean | Y / N field |

Number | Numerical value input. |

Once an underlying field has been created, it will be available to add to the desired form(s) via the Item evaluation exercise configuration space. You can view all configured underlying fields and their usage via the 'Download the grid of underlying fields' link in the 'Tasks' section.
